Import Control System 2 (ICS2)
The introduction of ICS2 is intended to further increase security standards in the EU and monitor the movement of goods more efficiently. It affects all companies that import goods into or transport goods through the European Union (EU).
Changes From April 2025
The ICS2 regulations have been fully applicable to maritime transport since 1 April. At the same time, the changeover phase for rail and road transport began on 1 April. All associated transport companies must be integrated into the ICS2 system by 1 September 2025.
Implications for Your Company
How well companies prepare for the new requirements is crucial. Those who adapt their processes, systems and training at an early stage can ensure smooth workflows and avoid delays and penalties.
